Paul Colangelo is a documentary photographer focused on environmental issues and wildlife.

Paul's work in remote communities across Canada explored their struggle to find balance between industry and wilderness traditions, and it shed light on wildlife populations at risk due to development. His work in the Sacred Headwaters helped lead to its protection in 2012.

Paul was a National Geographic Explorer/Grantee and a fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers. His archive is represented by National Geographic Creative.

Publications and clients include BBC, Canadian Geographic, GEO, Maclean's, National Geographic, New York Times, Orion, The Walrus, and WWF.

Paul left the photography industry to spend more time with his family. He now works in investment management and lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
